3.3. Block of cylinders

The block of cylinders (fig. 3.4) consists of three sections which are cast from aluminum alloy, it:
— actually block of cylinders;
— central section;
— pallet.
The block of cylinders and the central section are interfaced on the plane lying along an axis of a bent shaft.
In the block irreplaceable cast pig-iron sleeves of cylinders are located. Five support of radical bearings are cast in the central section with pig-iron amplifiers.
In the top part of the central section lubricant channels which distribute oil on radical and, through a bent shaft, on conrod bearings are cast.
The pallet is executed taking into account rigidity of all block and provides additional strengthening of its design.
Sleeves of cylinders of the nominal size (tab. 3.2) are broken into four dimensional groups for ensuring selective assembly. The group tags corresponding to diameter of the cylinder are beaten out at a sleeve end face.
The repair sizes are applied when wear exceeds 0,1 mm and boring and a honingovaniye of cylinders is necessary.
In the block of cylinders are located: bent shaft; radical inserts; rods; connecting rods; pistons; piston rings; piston fingers; oil pump.
