In fig. 9.1 the arrangement of sensors of a control system of the Fenix 5.1 engine is shown.
The electric circuit of connection of elements of the Fenix 5.1 system is shown on a color tab.

In fig. 9.2 appearance and an approximate arrangement of other sockets of engine management of Fenix 5.1 are shown.
The electric circuit of connection of sockets is shown on a color tab.
The Control Unit (CU) of system 4/1 (fig. 9.1) accepts the entrance signals from the following sensors and components of the engine characterizing conditions of its work:
— the signal of the frequency of rotation and the provision of a bent shaft arriving from the sensor 7/21 of frequency of rotation and the provision of a bent shaft;
— a signal of a running cycle of the cylinder from the sensor 7/27 of position of the camshaft.
— a signal of vacuum in the inlet pipeline from the sensor of pressure 7/22;
— a signal of temperature of the soaked-up air from the sensor of air temperature 7/24;
— a signal of engine temperature from the sensor 7/23 of temperature of cooling liquid of the engine;
— a signal of the provision of a butterfly valve from the sensor 7/25 of provision of a butterfly valve.
— a signal of the mode of combustion of mix from the oxygen sensor 7/15.;
— a signal of a detonation from the detonation sensor 7/26;
— a signal of the choice of the mode of air conditioning from the control panel of a microclimate;
— a signal of functioning of the compressor of the conditioner of air from pressure switch;
— a signal of pressure in the air conditioning system with the relay of high and low pressure;
— a signal of the transfer choice (only for the automatic transmission) with BU the transmission;
— a signal of the translation of the lever of the selector of transfers to the provision of P or N (on cars from the automatic transmission) with BU the transmission;
— a signal of the speed of the movement from a combination of devices.
On the basis of these signals of BU operates the following processes and mechanisms:
— injection of fuel by means of management of each nozzle individually;
— ignition by means of giving of signals on the switchboard which is executed as a single whole with the ignition coil. Rotation frequency idling by means of the idling regulator;
— the fuel pump, by means of the relay of the fuel pump. Main relay. Indicator lamp of failures;
— the electric fan of cooling, by means of the fan relay.
BU can switch-off (in case of need) the air conditioner compressor by means of the compressor relay. BU also transmits the following signals:
— a signal of confirmation of management of torque by means of reduction of a corner of an advancing of ignition by BU the transmission;
— signals of the frequency of rotation and load of BU transmission;
— a signal of opening of a butterfly valve on BU the automatic transmission.
— a signal of the frequency of rotation of the engine on the tachometer placed in a combination of devices.
— a signal of engine temperature on a combination of devices. A signal on diagnostics block socket with a conclusion of codes of malfunctions.
