7.3.5. Removal and installation of the stabilizer of cross stability

1) remove the case of the steering mechanism from a steering column:
— partially remove a floor covering and an adhesive tape from a transitional plate;

— turn a steering wheel and turn out a bolt from a shaft of the leading gear wheel (fig. 7.22);
— fix a steering wheel at the provision of wheels of the car for the rectilinear movement;
— mark the provision of a shaft of the leading gear wheel and casing of a steering wheel;
— put the car on support so that both wheels did not concern a floor;
— remove the heat-insulating screen about half shafts and a forward guard of the engine;
— turn off nuts of fastening of the engine in front and behind;
— turn out four bolts (two long and two short);
— turn out two bolts of fastening of the engine and remove the central longitudinal beam;
— remove bars from the transmission;
— remove a reception pipe of the muffler;
— disconnect stabilizer racks from the lower levers of a forward suspension bracket;
— supporting a cross beam, turn out six bolts;
— lower a cross beam to provide access to fastening of the stabilizer of cross stability;
2) remove the stabilizer of cross stability from a cross beam:
— turn out two bolts;
— lift the stabilizer of cross stability and remove arms;
— remove rubber support;
3) install the stabilizer of cross stability on a cross beam:
— paste two new strips of an adhesive tape to the stabilizer of cross stability;
— establish two rubber support, the stabilizer of cross stability on a cross beam and two arms, having tightened fastening bolts the moment of 25 N · m;

4) fix a cross beam:
— lift a cross beam and pass via the case of the steering mechanism;
— establish a shaft of a steering wheel on a shaft of the leading gear wheel;
— check combination of the tags made before dismantling;
— attach a cross beam to a body: the moment of an inhaling of long bolts in a forward part — 108 N · m, short bolts in a back part — 88 N · m;
5) fix stabilizer racks on the suspension bracket lever for what use new nuts on the spherical hinge, the moment of an inhaling of 45 N · m;
6) establish a reception pipe of the muffler, fix conducting of the oxygen probe;
7) connect a bar of inclusion of transfers to the transmission;
8) establish the central longitudinal beam, an engine mudguard, the heat-insulating screen, half shafts;
9) to a napressuyta a steering column is farther on a shaft of the leading gear wheel, wrap a bolt the moment of 17 N · m.
