6.6.2. Repair of a support of a brake of a forward wheel
Order of performance of repair work following:
— uncover naves and a wheel;
— carefully clear a support;
2) merge brake fluid:
— remove a protective cap from the drain union, connect a hose and open the union;
— record a brake pedal in the pressed situation with the help of the holder;
— collect the coming-out brake fluid in capacity;
— defame a fastening bolt brake fluid of a hose;
3) remove a forward support assembled:

— turn out a bolt of 1 (fig. 6.6)
of the banjo union with its consolidations;
— turn out two bolts 2 of the directing support fingers;
— remove brake shoes 4;
4) sort a support:
— put wooden whetstone in front of the piston;

— carefully to a vypressuyta the piston by means of compressed air (fig. 6.7)
Be careful in avoidance a zazhatiya of fingers of a hand at a piston vypressovka.
— remove an antisplash cuff;
— remove a sealing ring so that not to damage an edge of flutes;
— turn out the drain union;
5) clear and check a condition of a support:
— wash out elements alcohol;
— check existence of wear, damages, cracks and a rust. If necessary replace elements;
— surely replace a sealing ring and an antisplash cuff;
— carefully clear channels and flutes for a sealing ring and an antisplash cuff.
In the presence in the cylinder рисок or scratches replace a support assembled.
Remove small deposits of a rust with a fine-grained grinding skin.
6) collect a support:
— blow details compressed air;
— grease with brake fluid of a surface of the cylinder;
— put a sealing ring in the cylinder;
— put an antisplash cuff on the piston;
— put the piston with an antisplash cuff in the cylinder against the stop;
— be convinced that the antisplash cuff rose on the place;
— put the drain union, tighten its moment 5 N · m.
7) check a surface of a brake disk. If the brake disk has roughness signs, check its side beating. If the brake disk is strongly worn-out, has furrows, replace it. Measure disk thickness (standards see in subsection. "Technical characteristics");
8) record a brake disk on a nave. Put wheel nuts the flat party and tighten their moment 110 N · m.
9) measure a side beating of a brake disk:

— install the indicator to a brake disk (fig. 6.8)
— slowly rotating a nave forward by means of a face wrench determine a beating by the indicator. The most admissible beating of 0,04 mm. If the side beating exceeds norm, replace or, in the presence of the necessary grinding tool, grind a brake disk, basing it on a prileganiye surface to a nave.
The beating can be caused by a nave beating. If necessary it is necessary to check a side beating of a nave also.

10) measure a side beating of a nave of a wheel:
— remove a brake disk;
— establish an indicator tip on a nave flange;
— slowly rotating a nave by means of a face wrench forward, define a beating. The most admissible beating of 0,05 mm. If the side beating of a wheel nave exceeds norm, zame6nite a nave (see chapter 7. "A forward suspension bracket and steering");
11) Check a guide of a support of a forward brake:
— check rubber plugs of the directing fingers, if necessary replace them;
— grease if necessary fingers with silicone jellied Volvo lubricant (number of a detail 1161325-4) and implant them into rubber plugs;
12) put brake shoes, having checked the wear indicator;
13) establish a support on the directing fingers. Bolts of fastening of a support tighten the moment of 35 N · m;
14) connect a brake hose, using new consolidations. Tighten its moment 15 N · m; be convinced that the brake hose is not overwound.
15) pump over the brake system (see subsection. "Pumping of the brake system");
16) put a wheel and slightly tighten nuts. Then tighten them on diagonal the moment of 110 N · m.
