6.6.10. Replacement of elements of anti-blocking system of brakes (ABS)

Works on replacement of the ABS elements of brakes should be performed in such order:
1) removal of the module of management of antiblocking system of brakes:
— switch off ignition;
— remove a hose (and) cooling systems from brackets;
— release a clamp over the module of management;
— remove the holder of brake tubes under a wing;
— carefully clear the module of management;
— disconnect the socket of the module of management;
— turn out two bolts and remove the forward holder;
— remove rubber elements;
— take away the module of management from inside of a wing and turn out four bolts from the module of management;
— turn out the central bolt;
— carefully remove the module of management;
2) installation of the module of management of antiblocking system of brakes:
— check purity of consolidations;

       PREVENTION
It is impossible to process a surface by means of a file or a metal scraper. It is recommended to use plastic tools. It is impossible to use chemical solvents.

— tighten the central bolt fingers;
— put four Torx screws and tighten them in two steps: the 1st stage — on diagonal the moment of 3 N · m; the 2nd stage — to tighten on a corner 90 °.

       PREVENTION
The moment of an inhaling should not exceed 8 N · m.

— tighten the central bolt the moment of 17 N · m;
— put a rubber element on the central bolt and insert the module of management in the holder;
— put rubber elements on a support and the module;
— establish a support on longitudinal guides about the help. two bolts;
— center and tighten bolts the moment of 25 N · m;
— connect the socket;
— fix brake tubes on the internal panel of a forward wing;

       NOTE
Fix a wire of connection of the hydraulic modulator with "weight".

— mount a water hose;
3) ABS work check:
— consider codes of malfunctions;
— execute road test and check whether the alarm lamp of ABS dies away;
— check whether codes of malfunctions are registered.

4) replacement of the forward wheel sensor (fig. 6.23):
— switch off ignition;
— listen a cover of a nave and a wheel;
— turn out a bolt of fastening of the sensor 1 and extend the sensor;
— remove two arms under a wing;
— take out a wire 2 sensors from holders 4;
— partially remove the internal plastic panel of a wing;
— disconnect the socket 3;
— clear a landing surface for the sensor of dirt and a rust that the sensor reached the correct position of rather pulse wheel;
— clear a pulse wheel of dirt compressed air;
— connect the internal plastic panel of a wing;
— clear landing surfaces that the sensor was installed with the minimum effort;
— slightly grease the sensor;
— put the sensor;
— tighten a bolt of fastening of the sensor;
— fix a sensor wire in holders;
— put a wheel.
5) ABS work check:
— consider codes of malfunctions;
— execute road test and check whether the alarm lamp of ABS dies away; check whether codes of malfunctions are registered;

6) replacement of the back wheel sensor (fig. 6.24):
— switch off ignition;
— listen a protective cover from the fuel filter (when working at the left);
— disconnect the socket;
— take out a sensor wire from two holders;
— uncover naves and a wheel;
— disconnect a support and a brake disk;
— remove a cap of a nave and turn off a fixing nut;
— remove a nave.
— take out a sensor wire from the holder;
— turn out fixing bolts and remove the sensor;
— clear a landing surface for the sensor of dirt and a rust that the sensor reached the correct position of rather pulse wheel;
— clear a pulse wheel of dirt a soft brush;
— slightly grease the sensor;
— clear landing surfaces that the sensor was installed with the minimum effort;
— pass a wire of the sensor and put the sensor;
— tighten bolts of fastening of the sensor the moment of 55 N · m;
— fix a sensor wire in holders;
— clear a pin and a nave;
— establish a nave on a pin;
— put a new nut and tighten its moment 177 N · m;
— put a nave cap, a brake disk, a support and a wheel;
— lay a wire of the wheel sensor forward and connect it to the socket;
— fix a sensor wire in holders;
— put a protective cover from the fuel filter (when working at the left);
— check ABS work: consider codes of malfunctions, execute road test and check whether the alarm lamp of ABS dies away, check whether codes of malfunctions are registered.
