5.3.1. Conducted and press clutch plates, the release bearing and a fork

Removal of the mechanism of coupling

Works are performed after removal of the transmission in the following order:
— record an engine flywheel from a provorachivaniye;

— turn out six screws (fig. 5.4), weakening them around;
— remove press and conducted clutch plates;
— take the bearing of switching off of coupling from the coupling and a fork;
— remove a fork and a boot;
— clear details.

Check of details

It is necessary to check:
— release bearing of coupling. Turn the bearing with small effort, it has to rotate easily and silently;
— whether there are no signs of cracks or wear on a fork;
— integrity of a boot;
— spherical hinge of a support of a fork;
— attentively examine press a disk and a flywheel on lack of signs of damages from an overheat, cracks, zadir or other damages of a working surface;
— be convinced that the diaphragm spring of a press disk has no cracks and traces of an overheat;

— press a disk on a buckling (fig. 5.5).
Press the disk does not need replacement if its buckling does not exceed 0,2 mm. The buckling is admissible only in one direction. Press a disk non-demountable, it is replaced assembled.
The conducted clutch plate has to meet the following requirements:
— on the conducted disk there should not be no slightest traces of oil and dirt;
— damper springs in a middle part of a disk have to be in good shape;
— a nave of a disk have to move freely on vents of a main shaft of the transmission;
— heads of rivets of fastening of frictional slips have to be buried rather working surface of the last;
— frictional slips should not have cracks and deep furrows;
— rivets of assembly of a press disk should not have a side play in the nests.
if necessary replace the conducted clutch plate.
Coupling installation
The detail of coupling needs to be established in such order:
— grease the spherical hinge with Volvo 11611246-2 paste;
— establish: fork and boot of the bearing of switching off of coupling, then coupling switching off bearing;

— establish the conducted clutch plate by the flat party to a flywheel, using the aligning adaptation (fig. 5.6);
— wrap coupling bolts, accurately tightening their diagonals that coupling moved directly on the regulating pins and exactly nestled on a flywheel. Then tighten bolts on diagonal the moment of 21 N · m;
— remove the aligning adaptation and a clamp.
