4.1. Removal of a head of the block of cylinders

The sequence of actions at removal of a head of the block of cylinders:
1) merge cooling liquid for what:
— disconnect a negative wire of the rechargeable battery;
— uncover a broad tank;
— remove a guard under the engine;
— open unions of the engine and a radiator, for collecting liquid use a hose;
— merge liquid, close unions;
2) remove a final collector for what:

— turn out bolts of flange connection of a reception pipe of the muffler with a final collector (fig. 4.1);
— remove the oxygen probe;
— turn off two bolts of flange connection of a reception pipe of the muffler with converter;
— remove a reception pipe of the muffler;
— remove two heat-insulating screens;
— turn off nuts of fastening of a collector to a head of the block of cylinders;
— turn a collector on 90 ° clockwise and lift it;

       PREVENTION
1. For cars with the air conditioner: do not damage pressure sensor on a tube of the air conditioning system.
2. At assembly apply on threaded connections the stopping liquid (strong) 1161076-5.


3) take off a belt of the gas-distributing mechanism for what:
— lift the block of the distributor of fuel and a nozzle and put sideways;

— put on a nozzle holders (fig. 4.2);
4) remove wattled wires of connection with "weight" from the engine;
5) remove an inlet collector;
6) remove the top hose of a radiator of the engine from the thermostat;

7) remove camshaft pulleys by means of the holder of 999 5199 (fig. 4.3), mark pulleys (inlet/final);
8) turn out a bolt to an internal cover of a belt of the gas-distributing mechanism;
9) remove the air filter with hoses;

10) remove the sensor of position of the camshaft and a diaphragm (fig. 4.4);
11) remove a conducting plait guide;

12) turn out bolts, moving ahead outside to the middle of the top half of a head of the block (fig. 4.5);
13) having carefully tapped the top half of a head of the block the copper hammer from a forward part of camshafts, hype up and accurately remove the last;
14) mark camshafts and remove them;
15) turn out two bolts of tubes of cooling liquid;

16) turn out bolts of a head of cylinders (moving ahead outside to the middle) (fig. 4.6);
17) remove a head of cylinders;
18) remove laying of a head of cylinders;
19) after removal examine and smooth out:
— surfaces of a final collector / head of cylinders;
— a surface for laying of blocks of cylinders;
— a surface for laying of a tube of cooling liquid;
— a surface between the lower and top half of a head of cylinders.

       PREVENTION
Do not use a metal scraper. Use the soft pallet and if it is necessary, solvent for pro-masonry mastic 1161340-3. For ensuring tightness of a surface have to be absolutely pure. At use of solvent it is necessary to work under the exhaust ventilation.
