2.23.4. System of electronic distribution of brake effort of EBD

EBD represents completely integrated about ABS system and is, thus, the standard equipment. The system regulates brake strengthening on back wheels in such a way that constantly takes place optimum and safe, from the point of view of prevention of blocking, effort. For example, at higher load of the car, higher effort is created, than that which would be possible in case of the ordinary hydraulic brake system. The effort on back wheels will be higher, and a brake way shorter. In case of emergency at sharp braking of ABS comes into effect and undertakes work.

       NOTE
During the work of EBD easy impulses, as can be felt during ABS work.

If only the control lamp of ABS burns, then only ABS is faulty. If control lamps of the ABS system and a brake contour at the same time burn, then both ABS, and EBD therefore follows are faulty, observing precautionary measures, to deliver the car to the next branded HUNDRED Volvos.
