11.4.3. Repair of a back part of a body ("sedan")At repair of a back part of a body "sedan" the following works can be performed:
1) replacement of an external wheel arch, including the strengthening element of a wheel arch:
— cut out the damaged wheel arch and the strengthening element of a wheel arch;
— cut out the replacing section;
— cut off an external arch 15 cm higher than a fold;
— grind to naked metal and adjust the interfaced surfaces of a wheel arch;
— apply welding primer;
— fix a wheel arch;

— previously cut out the replacing section of the strengthening element of a wheel arch;
— to a soshlifuyta a paint and varnish covering, apply welding primer;

— fix the strengthening element of a wheel arch ( fig. 11.43);
— weld the strengthening element of a wheel arch;

2) replacement of knot of the luggage compartment ( fig. 11.44), including a back longeron:
— to a welding point soshlifuyta up to a cross-piece;
— to a welding point soshlifuyta on wheel arches and internal sidewalls of a body;
— cut off half of the luggage compartment at distance about 20 mm behind a cross-piece;
— cut down a floor a chisel;
— grind to naked metal;
— apply welding primer;
— assign new gender with an overlap on a cross-piece;
— cut off on an overlap both panels together;

— you will expose and fix the side panel ( fig. 11.45);
— make a fitting room assembly together with the floor panel;
— be convinced that the boundary sizes of these details coincide without tightness;
— take the side panel welding;
— remove the floor panel;
— weld the side panel;
— remove an old longeron;

— insert a new longeron with a transitional detail ( fig. 11.46);
— install the floor panel;
— be convinced that the new longeron rises on the place;
— record it tacks;
— remove the floor panel;
— weld a longeron;
— fix new half of the luggage compartment;

— weld half of the luggage compartment on longerons electrorivets ( fig. 11.48).
— weld half of the luggage compartment on the back panel and on the longitudinal strengthening element contact spot welding;

3) replacement of knot of a back wing ( fig. 11.49), for what:
— measure the replacing section;
— cut off on tags;
— to a welding point soshlifuyta;
— adjust the interfaced surfaces;
— apply welding primer;
— establish (on a loose back wing) a trench, a cover of a filling mouth, a lock clamp plate;
— adjust to a trunk lid;
— weld;
— cut out the damaged section;
— grind the interfaced surfaces to naked metal;
— previously cut out a back wing (the replacing section);
— install a back wing on the car;
— cut off a hacksaw both panels where the joint has to settle down;
— remove a wing;
— apply welding primer;
— put a back wing;
— adjust, weld a prikhvatochny seam;
— weld continuous seams;
— execute where it is possible, contact spot welding;
— grind a welded seam;
— other body knots and panels are replaced similarly.
