10.7.1. Replacement of the generator

The sequence of actions at removal of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering:
1) disconnect a negative wire of the rechargeable battery;
2) uncover the engine (4 bolts);

       NOTE
For removal of the generator to shift the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering aside up.

3) weaken the automatic tension device (fig. 10.10), having turned a pulley to the right, and take off a drive belt;
4) release the automatic tension device in normal situation;
5) disconnect the socket on a back part of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering;

6) turn off two bolts 1 (fig. 10.11) fastenings of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering to the engine block;
7) turn off bolts 2 of a support of the generator and bolts from the pump basis;

       NOTE
Accurately write down the provision of each bolt.

8) remove the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering up and move away him aside.

       PREVENTION
Do not disconnect a wire.

The sequence of actions at removal of the generator:
1) disconnect a positive wire of an alarm lamp and I will corrode from the generator;

2) turn off two fixing bolts 3 (fig. 10.12) from the generator;
3) remove the generator up.
The sequence of actions at installation of the generator and pump of the hydraulic booster of steering:
1) install the generator on the place, wrap bolts a hand and connect conducting;
2) install the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering on the place, having wrapped bolts a hand, and then put bolts 1 and 2;
3) tighten all bolts of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering and the generator. Inhaling moment: 25 — 30 N · m;
4) install the socket on the basis of the pump.
The sequence of actions at installation of a driving belt:

1) squeeze the tension device, having turned a pulley to the right, and record it in extreme external situation with the help of the screw-driver and a face key on 4 mm (fig. 10.13);

2) establish a driving belt on the place and remove a face key on 4 mm which was used as a clamp (fig. 10.14);
3) check the belt course;
4) connect a negative wire of the rechargeable battery;
5) establish an engine cover on the place.
